«A medida que volteaba las páginas, el joven que mi padre tenía en su memoria caminaba en los años cuarenta del siglo pasado por el obelisco. Abriendo unas solapas, la Feria del Libro, emplazada en la avenida entre Cangallo y Bartolomé Mitre, mostraba las vísceras, como los modelos anatómicos de papel maché del Dr. Auzoux al levantarles el tórax. Tirando dócilmente de unas lengüetas, la Feria se transformaba en una Exposición Industrial y de Armamento Militar, o en una de Minería e Industrias Afines. Entremedio de esas exposiciones monumentales, montadas en fechas diferentes, y a la vez efímeras, el libro pop-up proponía buscar a Moby Dick.»
